Drainage
I think what irritates me most is the heavy drainage that comes with ENS. It amazes me how my nose can be dry yet I have tons of mucus dripping down the back of my throat. And it's not a little bit. I can be at work talking to a customer and all of a sudden I feel these big globs dripping down my throat. It doesn't blow out so I find myself trying to sniff it back so that I don't choke on it. Decongestants, antihistamines, tea, nothing seems to work. This happens all day long. It doesn't matter whether I'm at home, at work, at the mall. It's all the time. One of my co-workers told me yesterday that he always knows where I am because he can hear me clearing my throat. Embarrassing! Anyone else suffer from this? Any recommendations or solutions?

Michigan14, you have just explained me to a T. Everything you said about yourself is EXACTLY the same about me. Isn't it a terrible feeling to have to do this all day long. I can tell you you are definitely not suffering alone, though I know it will not make you feel any better. I am hoping my next trip out to Houser will be the end of this. Good luck and feel better. I have the same problem. The only thing I know to help is to keep bottled water or anything to drink nearby. A swig of water will help you from clearing your throat, especially in someone's ear when you're on the phone. I'm like Pavlov's dog now, when the phone rings, I take a drink of water before I pick up. Hope this helps.
