Dryness
Hi doctor, Since my procedure a little more than three months ago, my nasal passages feel dry, particularly towards the front of my nose. I have had very, very little discharge from my nose (only a tiny bit, if anything comes out when I blow my nose) and have had absolutely no "boogers" (for lack of a better word). I never thought it would be uncomfortable to not have boogers, but it is. He says that the reason the front of the nostril is dryer than before the procedure is because the mucus is now going down my throat as it should, instead of forward. He says the front of the nostril is regular skin. For the dryness feeling, he gave me Ayr gel with aloe. Is he correct about the skin and is it normal for a person to no longer have boogers after these procedures? Or is this just something an ENT would say if encountered with a dry nose from one of their procedures? Also, is Ayr gel good?
