ENS symptoms with nasal collapse? Dr. Houser,
It has been almost three months since I had my somnoplasty. Yesterday I saw a specialist in Los Angeles who is very familiar with treating ENS. He examined my nose and said that I am still very swollen and inflamed from the procedure itself. He believed that is why I might be experiencing the symptoms I have been(feeling of suffocating, dry nose, and sticky mucus). In your opinion, do you think that swelling and inflammation could be causing my symptoms. Also since having the somnoplasty, my nose collapses in and out when I try breathing through it. The doctor said that this indicated an obstruction and it was a clear sign that it was not ENS. Do you agree? Or have you seen patients with ENS that have noses that collapse when they breath?

A swollen nose does not sound like ENS. Not seeing your nose or knowing the whole history, it is hard to say more, but it sounds like something else than ens

nasal collapse thanks for your response, but have you ever seen an ENS patient with nasal collapse?

no
I would expect nasal collapse to counteract the effects of ENS
