Experiencing Atrophic Rhinitis for three years
Whenever im in public, people around me comment on a bad odor. They also rub their noses, or begin to cough and gag. The odor smells like a really putrid fart smell, I know this as from time to time i'm able to smell it but only for a few seconds. I live in the UK and i've been to see my GP for a ridiculous amount of times, each time he sends me away with either a prescription for a nasal spray and antibiotics (which does not help at all) or he sends me to an ENT specialist who takes a scan with the results stating that there is nothing wrong. Other symtoms that i've experienced is loss of smell and my nasal septum is also quite swollen. I'm just wondering since it seems like you know a lot about AR and ENT whether you could recommend me something that I could at least reduce the terrible smell coming out of my nose. I would also prefer if you could recommend me something that I could buy online as I know longer have the confidence to subject myself to sitting in a waiting room with people giving me disgusting looks prior to seeing my GP.
