FDA is kinda hurdle I searched the Atala's research on bladder and progress.
The biggest hurdle is actually FDA approval. It dealys 2 to 3 years.
I feel that by the end of this year, some good results shall be seen in the animals. But, there will be no FDA approval for it.
My cartilage in the septum all gone. In japan, more than 10 cases have been done with tissue engineering and very successful. But, in US, the researchers told me they are not allowed to have a clinical trial in human.
Therefore, I feel that is it possible, to utilize the result fo future experiments, and undergone the surgery in Guam, or other neighboring countries. It will speed up for 2 to 3 years.

not necessarily..
Although the Acell product does not have a appliable method for us yet if it does work the product is FDA approved.
Also some of the stuff in Japon is very impressive and I get the impression companies, especially in california, are pushing for fast tract.
Although I dont want to tell you either way I would not let the FDA get you down just yet.
