If the ENTs won't stop with all these turbinectomies can't the FDA tell the doctors to at least give warning brochures to patients about the serious risks that are involved when getting a turbinectomy? Shouldn't this brochure be written by the FDA. Shouldn't the FDA help us with an ENS website that they run to warn people? Just throwing some stuff out there...

FDA does not regulate this. Only State Medical Boards, so it is state by state. Very fragmented. The best most direct way to bring attention would be to go national - to Congress. Any ideas?

I will try and get back to you on that. I have to do some research on it...

Maybe an advocacy group might help? Anyways, maybe a group of researchers and investigators who are dedicated to accurate health education and to exposing things that are affecting the public health might help rear us in the right direction if we email or write to them.
