How many implants during one Surgery Dr. Houser
Do you typically implant both nasal passages during one surgery or do most patients have to come back for the other side if two implants are needed?
How will you know if your nasal cavity has collapsed?

I can implant both sidewalls or IT remnants at one time. I can only implant into 1 side of the septum at a time though - meaning a 2nd surgery may be needed if the septum is the site for implant for both sides.
Exam or CT can reveal collapse.

Do you usually go against the septum for an implant in MT Type patients? Also, I am assuming during the cotton test that many different positions and sizes of cotton will be tried?

for ens-mt the septum ends up being the main implant site, unless the cotton test suggested the floor (hasn't occurred yet)

Can you give me some insight as to why it seems to be more painful and takes longer to heal if implanted to/in the septum?
Also, when it is really cold I usually do not have much secretations but when I feel more stuffy, I get a very thick/sticky discharge...insight?
