How was your turbinectomy performed?
I'd appreciate if all forum members participate in this poll. The knowledge gained in prior polls was incorporated into the recent ENS article which Dr Houser and I have recently finished writing, and is facing final review before publication. The more people participate the bigger the validity of the conclusions that can be drawn. Thanks for your cooperation.

How do we know the difference between the two. Are we awake for one?

TE- 03-27-2007

general anaesthesia = you're fast asleep or unconscious. local = you're awake, just like at the dentist, with only your nose anaesthetised.

jdog- 03-27-2007

ughhh... some people are awake while they are doing it???

survey
Hi My turbinates were operated on under general. Wasn't sure how to participate in survey. I am assuming a local would only be attempted with the newer laser treatments. Thanks Ninab

TE- 03-28-2007

Hi ninab, if your procedure was under general ane' then please vote "general". Every vote counts. thanks.

There are 191 members on this board. I realize that most of us don't visit the board regularly, but I think we can do better than 7 votes. It not much to ask. Please vote on this pole.

Mine was "general."

To Ninab
Ninab, Hey - how are you doing? To participate in the suvey i.e. vote, all you have to do is be signed in. Then when you post a reply for the first time it should present you with the chance to vote. Hope that helps. JR

1st Turbinectomy under surgical knife - Under general anesthesia 2nd Laser Turbinectomy (Diathermy) - Under local anesthesia (scared to death cause I smelled my burned flesh) 3rd Laser Turbinectomy (Diathermy) - Under local anesthesia (I literally went pale during this procedure) Umm, I only can vote for one at a time, do I just go back and select the other one assuming it will allow me to vote twice

TE- 10-06-2007

you cannot vote twice with this system, but thanks for elaborating.
