Kenalog What are the risks and/or benefits for injecting Kenalog on swollen Turbinates ??

There have been reports of blindness in the distant past. It was felt to be particles going retrograde into the valveless veins in the nasal mucosa, which then connects directly to the ophthalmic artery.
These are very old reports, somewhat dubious. Unclear if the scenario is as described, or perhaps the injecting doc did something else. This is my understanding of the issue.
Others have done many thousands of such injections with no problems.
My assessment is the risk is minimal for blindness.
Otherwise, infection and bleeding are risks.

Are there any benefits for the swollen turbinates and mucosa when Kenalog is injected ??
Also are the decreases in inflammation just temporary ??

temporary reduction in swelling and allergic symptoms, may last months
