Main symptom Pain?? Mayo Clinic/Rochester??
I'm new to this website. My Dr. at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester) informed me of it earlier this month. I've read some of the posts but haven't had time to review a lot of them. Is anyone else's main symptom facial pain? My pain is constant with varying degrees and has also lead to frequent migraine headaches. I had endoscopic sinus surgery nearly 3 years ago. It was supposed to be simply to remove polyps/infection. After returning to my ENT several times with him providing no explanation and referring me to a Neurologist who also had no answer, I went to the Mayo Clinic. It was there that I was told my middle turbinates had been removed. I received the ENS diagnosis. Has anyone else seen Dr. Friedman at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN?

Hi and welcome to the board bellatrac, As a tip, you might want to do a search of the site (search menu at the top), and search for topics that mention "pain". You can then see the members that suffer from the same problem that you do. You could then ask them the question directly (if no-one answers this post).

Hi I had the same surgery FESS and now I have so much facial pain and dryness. No one in Toronto Canada wants or is willing to try and help me. It’s been 4 years now since that awful day that just ruined my life. The Doctor told me not to be afraid of the surgery and that he wants to sleep at night to. You can be sure he’s not loosing any sleep over me. Margi

It sounds like we have the symptoms. My main problem is pain also. I also went to Mayo where I was diagnosed with ENS - I can't remember the doctor's name though. Read my survival tips on the site for the things that have worked for me. Also add to that list Fluticisone (Flonase) nasal spray. In high dosages it helps greatly.

For me flonase drys my nose out and sometimes makes my nose bleed well like dried blood in the nose.

I do have some bleeding, especially in the winter, but the great reduction in pain makes it worthwhile for me.
