Manuka honey mixed with sesame seed oil
I have found manuka honey mixed with sesame seed oil has helped with dryness. Several people told me they tried it, and it helped. It helped me as well. I keep the manuka honey refrigerated. Dont buy more then 15+. Also if it stings at 15+ buy manuka that is lower then 15+. I believe it can contribute to healing. I have talked to people who have stopped irrigating or dont do it, please irrigate everyday. Also try manuka with emu oil, or whatever oils you are using currently, and if you experimented with different oils, let us know what feels the best. For me i noticed sesame seed oil, and manuka helped. I added several more things in as well. That i believed helped. Please specify the concentration level of the sesame oil and Manuka that you use. Otherwise people might hurt themselves with too much Manuka. Further more, I would like to remind everyone here that while iodine free saline (like Neilmed) and ringer lactate based irrigation solution (like Dr Grossan's solution) and sesame oil have all been empirically and clinically -*test*-('")ed in the nose in many studies and were found to be safe and effective, Manuka honey has not. The epithelium in the nose is not regular squamous epithelium like the one that covers your pharynx and throat. It is much more sensitive to high acidity levels (like Manuka) because it is respiratory epithelium. Manuka works well to speed up the healing of wounds, but it does not cause resected (missing) mucosa or bone - to grow back. Therefore the only way I can see it help people with ENS are in those who have had surgery lately and have still got closing mucosal flesh wounds. So, by healing those wounds faster it can help the nose, providing of course that you do not use too high a level of acidity in which case it would do more harm than good. Acids can cause a chemical burn and the last place you want a burn in - is your nose. It will not make your turbinates grow back or your remaining mucosa to produce more moisture. It will simply help those few who have lesions on their mucosa, which are normally up to a year out of surgery. Those lesions will close just as well with normal treatments of keeping the nose moist - especially with getting enough sleep and sleeping with a humidifier.

I put the manuka honey and sesame seed oil in my nostrils only. I think that tissue is epithelium. The moisturizing benefit is enormous, far beyond any other product I have used to moisturize my nostrils. Dryness quickly becomes intolerable for me without this remedy.

Several people have told me of the benefits as well. Thanks kris for sharing your experience with people. There so many therapies and supplements i have tried, i believe they are helping as well. I also believe they are working synergistically. Also there are several more therapies that i will try that i believe have a lot of potential. I have gotten benefit from talking with Anthony and jdog. One other thing, is that anger and negative emotions can harm your body as well. I know that having this surgery, i have to deal with several negative emotions, being depressed, enraged. Also i have noticed significant improvement so it is easier for me to say to try to avoid negative emotions, and i know how hard it can be given the circumstances. Negative emotion can severly impact your health. One of the things i find frustrating, is that it is hard for people to understand how your are feeling and just how much you are suffering. I have found it is better to avoid negative people as our bodies have enough to deal with.

I also want to say Anthony was the one who tole me about manuka, he also gave me several other supplements to try, and positive things i can do. I feel he has helped me tremendously. Thank you Anthony.
