Middle Turbinate Inflammation
Hello Dr I had a Hyper IT and a Concha Bullosa corrected in my nose on the right side to deal with chronic sinusitis. I don not believe that I have ENS. Unfortunately I am getting a lot of pressure on the right side. The problem only really exists when my cycle shifts to the right side. A 2nd opinion from a different ENT told me that the middle and upper Turbs were inflamed. He did some steroid injections that helped a little bit. What I really enjoyed was the pain killer in the cotton ball that he applied. I have really severe allergies as well. I believe that the problem is due to a chronic sinus infection due to the itchy feeling, bad taste, drainage and occasional loss of my voice. The only relief I get is from Sudafed which I cannot use long term. Nasonex and Nasal Crom only help a little. I am confused about what steps to take next in dealing with this. How risky is a submucosal reduction for the inferior turbinate? Also, why does my congestion usually get better if I eat something when I am hungry?
