Question about my septoplasty & turbinate reduction surg
Hello Dr. Houser, I had my septum fixed and turbinate reduction. My doctor has been an ENT and plastic surgeon for 34 years now. Anyway, I asked him about this procedure and only said I would be able to breathe better. It has been 5 1/2 months since my surgery I don't have any problems yet but I am a little nervous that I might develop ENS. I guess I can say my surgery was pretty successful (I hope) compared to these others folks on this forum. I stopped bleeding after the first three to four days of surgery and was back to work on the seventh day post-op. I guess I just want to know how common is ENS? The reason I ask it because when I asked my doctor he had never heard of ENS and never had a patient complain about these systems after giving this type of surgery....I don't know if that is because he might know the important of turbinate reduction and how much to remove without doing too much harm or what. Anyway, back to my question...how common is ENS and do most doctors know how much to remove without doing any harm even if they have never heard of ENS? Thank you, Veronica :?:
