Dr.Houser, When you inject into the turbinates like I got, do you tend to get a lot of blood flow after? Or do you only get blood flow when the injection is leaking back out

The turbinates have a strong blood supply, so you will bleed with the needle poke and afterwards for a bit.

Dr.Houser, My ent used a 30g needle and you said to use a 22g he didn't have any,would that make any difference in terms of leakage? T

A 30g needle is much smaller, so a smaller poke hole for the material to leak back out of. Cymetra cannot fit through a 30g needle, whereas restalyn may be able to.

ya it seemed to flow and expand,he has a video screen very high tech in his room and recorded it and we watched the it expand after. maybe next time will leave the cam in there and see how much leaks out. thanks dr h,would you say there would be a time spand on how fast it would leak out?

Dr.Houser, I know you don't work with restalyn but I'm sure some of the aspects are the same as what you do work with. I'm going to see my ent to retry the restalyn injection and move it more into the anterior part of the inferior turbinates. Just curious my ent video tapes the procedure and he wants me to come in at 8am for injection and return after lunch to see what it looks like,would you think that would give him an idea if it leaked out? Or to soon,in my opion it would leak out right away if it was going to. Thanks in advance

Dr.Houser, If your doing an injection since you don't use Rest,would you just inject Saline and see how the patient reacts to it? I mean if you inject Cymetry it's affect is more permenant than Rest which runs/wears out in a few weeks to couple months, so if the patient reacted to Saline but was wrong wouldn't the affect of Cymetry be a stuffing feeling. I'm going back for a second try at Rest,this time I'm going to let him put more in since I stopped him as I was afraid I would get congested. If congestion really is the only thing that would happen for lets say a month or two I say that it's something I'll have to risk rather than being to open

I believe this was all covered in the past. Yes, a saline injection can be used as a predictor.
