Just like to further explain: Dr Houser is referring to his new ground breaking article on ENS that is the first ever to properly delineate ENS and the first ever to suggest guidelines to possible surgical treatment for improvement of symptoms. The Title is: "Surgical Treatment for Empty Nose Syndrome". It appears in this September issue of the Medical Journal of "Archives of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery", which is one of the leading and most respectable ENT journals in the world. This article summarizes Dr Houser's work with ENS patients of the past six years and the medical conclusions he came to as a result, about ENS. It includes detailed statistics of the success rate of his implant procedure in an up to four years follow up of a series of 8 ENS patients. It is currently available for download for free, in HTML or PDF formats. I do not believe that it's going to remain a free download for a long time, so I suggest that everyone here hurry to download it down (it's the first article on the list of this issue). Can be printed from this page: http://archotol.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/full/133/9/858 (for PDF format, click on PDF on the right hand of the menu bar on that page). This the ultimate BIBLE of ENS (when you read it - you'll understand exactly why), and you will be able to show it to any skeptical doctor or lay person you meet in the future, that does not believe your symptoms or suffering are of a real physical cause. On this momentous occasion - I'd like to properly thank Dr Houser on behalf of all ENS patients for his continuous efforts and undeterred commitment to help us all. I hope everyone on this board downloads this article and posts Dr Houser their feedback here. Thanks.

Dr. Houser, Congratulations on your brilliant article on ENS. There were times when I was reading that I had to pause, because you described our symptoms and feelings so accurately. I was so thankful for that because so few people understand what it is like to suffer from this debilitating disease. It was amazing to see our feelings put into words so eloquently. Thank you for your persistence in finding ways to improve the quality of our lives. I wish you continued success in your efforts. Jen

Dr. Houser, This is a tremendous achievement for ENS! Thanks for all your work, advocacy, and willingness to speak out for ENS sufferers. We are greatly indebted, and it is a super article. It is wonderful to know that the medical community will learn about ENS and understand it because of all your efforts on our behalf. I cannot wait to see the impact of this article!

I have read your article and I think it's a great thing that you've done. Not only does it point out the existence of ENS, its symptoms and helps to develop an understanding of those symptoms, it also inspires hope. Hope for treatment. Treatment that can benefit many people who suffer with ENS. Hope that more and more doctors will recognize ENS and begin to practice treating it, along with discovering new ways of doing so. Hope that turbinate surgery can be given a new perspective. Yes, for ENS patients hope is a very valuable thing. So thank you very much Dr. Houser! Well done. Ryan

It's too late to download the article for free. It was available for free till the beginning of October. However you can still get it for a fee of 15$, which compared to other articles is a good and fair price. That's the standard price that the Archives of Otolaryngology asks for. It's worth every penny. It's a crucial paper for every ENS sufferer to have. It will help you get more accepted and understood by doctors who don't know enough about ENS. Experience shows that as time goes by prices rise, so hurry up and get it now.

Sadly, the course on ENS I submitted to the AAO-HNS annual meeting for 9/08 was turned down. It would have had good exposure to alot of ENT docs across the country.

Sadly, the course on ENS I submitted to the AAO-HNS annual meeting for 9/08 was turned down. It would have had good exposure to alot of ENT docs across the country. Does it mean they don't want to recognize ENS? I think this is very sad
