Turbinate reduction I had submucous turbinate reduction of the inferior turbinates. Some of my symptoms that concerned me are getting better, but that may just be because of the weather getting more humid here in New York City. However, now the right turbinate seems to be blocking the airway just as before I had the surgery. I am also getting a whistle sound from the right side. Do you think I should have furthur reduction on the right side or just leave it be?

I really cannot answer that question without examining you. Turbinate reductions are appropriate at times.

I'm just going to leave it be because I already feel like there is too little resistance on the left side. The only time that the right side isn't blocking is when the cycle switches. The other turbinate has been reduced to the point where it never seems to change size. Not even when I sleep, which is weird for me. When the right side feels blocked it feels worse than before the surgery, because it just feels weird. Thanks anyway.
