I would like this just as bad as you as my IT were both completely resected and I have no bone left what so ever, but you have to be realistic.
You must end the grieving process and make do with what there is, or you'll simply waste your life away "whining" (your words) which is exactly what you said you don't want to do.
If you do decide to self destruct, that will be tragic, but then please don't try to drag us all down with your pessimism, life is hard enough as it is and hope is all we've got!
