What's the best way to support a friend with ENS? How can you help someone who is suffering with ENS? My friend is one of the best people I've ever met and I want to be there for him. What do you wish friends would or wouldn't do to ease your suffering? I believe and support him 100 percent, and defend him to those that don't. What else can I do?

keep doing what your doing and support him and believe him when he says he has problems and listen to him..it's so crappy when i talk to someone and they just think i'm blowing hot air up there butt..you could try to help him get implants and help from Dr.Houser

Thank you for your responses. My friend is currently in contact with Dr. Houser. He has been very proactive in seeking out treatment and trying to bring about awareness of ENS. I just would like to know how this has impacted you socially and what do you wish people without ENS (friends and family) would understand about that?

Before I had implants placed, ENS affected my voice. Socially, this was a nightmare. This forced me to become anti-social because it caused me to have to strain to talk. So, when I had ENS, I hoped people around me would be considerate of this + be more understanding/accomodating. That is good your friend is seeing Dr. Houser!!!
