You are absolutly right TE. I was shocked not to see french in David's post. French comes just after english and spanish in terms of most spoken language ( of course not counting chinese, india, etc...) I'm candidate for french (see my pm to you). I will post as soon as I have finished. Yves

hello Yves (and TE,and David), i am nico, and i just put a post to David, regarding the french wikipedia translation (i speak french spanish, english), i am happy that you could fix the problem in french. I am AMAZED by the quantity of people reading some post in the french forum. I do not live in France, in fact, i am in south america, and i read that it seems than no french doctors are aware of ENS, (only one recognise the problem), but i believe that this site could be as big in french than in english. do not forget that many people and doctors in Europe or South america understand very few english, I know personally so many people saying that they speak or read english, and in fact, they do'nt. this is why these translations are so important. regards nico.

Dear friends, (You can read it in Spanish language lower. My mother tongue is Spanish. I hope that you can excuse my mistakes) We should congratulate to Nico for his effort to traslate from English to Spanish language the article of wikipedia "Empty Nose Syndrome". As for me, in the last days I have improved that article. I encourage to improve it. I have used several english versions of wikipedia and I have used the information of web of the Empty Nose Syndrome Association to write this article. Also, I have resorted to Nico's work. All job was had by Nico. I have improved the composition. I have included a differential diagnosis: I think that patients with ENS are diagnosed as patients with an atrophic rhinitis or a secundary atrophic rhinitis. In my opinion, one of the problems more important is that the term "Empty Nose Syndrome" (Síndrome de la Nariz Vacía) in the world of Spanish languange is an unknown term. I have added one section about diagnosis (the cotton -*test*-('"), the importance of accounts by patients about symptoms, the appearance of the symptoms after eight years in many cases from the turbinectomies). This section appears in the present article of English wikipedia. I have added others non-surgical treatment that appear in present English version. Also, I have improved the section about surgical treatment. Now you can see a video demonstrating a typical implant (Alloderm) procedure for ENS. I have created internal links to improve the understanding. I have added external links to ENS forum of the ENS Association and to Chris Martin's blog and to MedlinePlus. I have written that in the present Mayo Clinic have begun a research study with Botox injections and relaxation therapy. It's a milestone study. Finally, I have added pictures that yet appears in English wikipedia, but I have not got to add all pictures. Thanks for this forum. Estimados amigos y amigas. Hemos de felicitar a Nico por su esfuerzo al traducir al español la entrada inglesa "Empty Nose Syndrome" de la Wikipedia. Por mi parte, estos últimos días los he decicado en parte a mejorar el artículo de la Wikipedia "El Síndrome de la Nariz Vacía". Desde aquí invito a todos los usuarios de este foro a que en todo momento se preocupen en mejorar y añadir información nueva al artículo de la Wikipedia. Para el actual artículo he usado distintas versiones de la entrada inglesa, recurriendo para ello al historial del artículo. Asimismo, he recurrido a la previa labor realizada por Nico. Básicamente, todo el trabajo estaba hecho por él. He mejorado la redacción; he procurado hacerme una idea más basta de lo que era importante decir sobre el SNV leyendo distintas versiones del artículo en inglés y en español; he incluido o, quizá mejor dicho, he vuelto a incluir un apartado dedicado al diagnóstico diferencial:los pacientes del SNV creo que siguen siendo diagnosticados como enfermos de una rinitis atrófica; a veces, matizada con el calificativo de "secundaria" y en la mayoría de los casos no-. En mi opinión, este es uno de los problemas esenciales por los que se desconoce el nombre del "Síndrome de la Nariz Vacía" en el mundo de lengua hispana. Además, he reducido un poco la explicación de la importancia fisiológica de los cornetes, pero lógicamente sin olvidar sus funciones y dando a conocer qué son con una relativa sencillez. He mantenido una aportación interesante del artículo que aparece en la actualidad en la entrada inglesa que está dedicada al diagnóstico del síndrome (dificultad a la hora de diagnosticarlo, -*test*-('") del algodón, relato del propio paciente sobre sus dificultades respiratorias, la aparición en muchos casos de los síntomas tras más de ocho años desde la turbinectomía, etc.). He añadido opciones de tratamiento no quirúrgico que aparecen en la versión inglesa actual, así como creo haber mejorado la parte dedicada a los tratamientos quirúrgicos. En este último apartado he incluido un video donde aparece una intervención consistente en el implante de Alloderm en un paciente del SNV. He mejorado la forma de enlazar internamente con las citas bibliográficas. He creado enlaces internos dentro del artículo para facilitar su comprensión. Por último, he incluido nuevos e interesantes enlaces externos. Junto a los ya existentes he puesto el de este foro, el del blog personal de Chris Martin, el de Medlineplus y el de los entradas en inglés y frances en la Wikipedia del SNV. Por hacer me ha quedado la colocación de algunas imágenes que deseaba tomar de las distintas versiones. No lo he logrado, por lo que invito a todos a que instalen imágenes de TAC y de endoscopia. En la actual versión inglesa aparecen imágenes muy interesantes. Gracias por este foro.
